New Ghosts of Fire Field Marshals

Greetings, my gentle devils:

It has been some time since my last correspondence with you. The GoF leadership and I have been very busy recruiting new field marshals due to the capture of the Little Critta, Pokey, and Lt. Hoosegow during Operation Metro Goldwip. So I am very pleased to announce that our negotiations in the Airacobra with other Division leaders went very well. I thank our dark Father Below who was instrumental in bringing us these new field marshals. The GoF have acquired, from left to right; Quisling, from Norway, Heinrich Ine Ironside, from the SS bunker still deep under Auschwitz, and SGT. Fortinbrass, a field marshal also from Norway.

I am posting these pictures on this secure blog line in order to give you an image to look for when they appear to you. They will be contacting each of you shortly with movie trailers and detailed instructions as to when you should show them. Prepare to move forward with Operation Golden Compass when they arrive. This next month should allow us a great opportunity to place an awful amount of deception into the children.

Greet them with a unholy hiss,

-Lord Grimthorn

Screwtape on The Da Vinci Code

Reactions to Screwtape’s slip about The Da Vinci Codes hidden agenda.

After spending jail time in the slag mines when letters to his nephew were found and published in the 1940’s by that Irish professor from Oxford, one would think that a semi-intelligent demon, like Screwtape, would learn to shut his howling screamer. In this link you will hear Screwtape himself, yet again, using an unprotected human device to communicate to his beloved nephew, Wormwood. What is he talking about? Nothing, except secret tactics and methods used in our latest weapon of mass deception, The Da Vinci Code.

The Da Vinci Code, a novel by Dan Brown, perfectly blurs the lines between history and fiction, leaving readers, and now moviegoers, thinking that Christianity is based on a lie. The ideology that Brown is espousing in this fast paced thriller ranges from resurrecting Gnostic ideas to blatant historic revisionism, and has led many humans into confusion about the truth. What angers me most about this recording of Screwtape, is that this dunderhead is using the English language to communicate to Wormwood the errors in Brown’s book. Does Screwtape not know that it’s the English-speaking people that are in the most need of the truths of which he is inadvertently speaking? If we are going to continue to capitalize on human ignorance, podcast addicts like Screwtape must have their lips sown together and their fingers ground down.

This is yet another reason why High Command must cast this medieval rogue out of the Upper ranks and into the lowest depths of Hell once and for all.

Hear Screwtape yourself, or read the transcript. I don’t know how this Eric Metaxas fellow intercepted this message, but we should keep an eye on him as well.

Keeping the Truth firewalled from human minds,

Spiritually Dead on Arrival

What makes our job of deception so easy is the natural spirit of man. Humans are dead spiritually. This renders them incapable to live in the light of the Enemy’s glory as they ought to live. Understanding this gives us the advantage in our destructive diplomacy.

We enjoy watching the news reports on those humans who were caught lying, thieving, raping, and murdering, and watching it be reported as if it’s some strange thing that has happened. The human creatures sit in front of their televisions and recoil, “How could she do that to her own kids?” Well, after thousands of years of daily evils -gross sins committed even in the best of social environments- one would think the human creatures could see the common trend in their fellow man. Mankind is born into this world spiritually bankrupt.

As sons of Adam they are born imputed with sin. The “in sin did my mother conceive me” factor (Psalms 51:5) makes them stillborns spiritually, separating them from their creator. This makes their need of regeneration, or more commonly termed “born-again”, their greatest need before their journey through the land of second chances ends.

As most of you know, nothing can save a man except the power of God. This power is manifested when they cut themselves off from the power of their flesh and there own ways to righteousness and fall upon their knees in faith and repentance, placing their faith in Jesus Christ as the payment to free them from their accumulating sins.

The regeneration spoken of in the forbidden Word means God taking out their heart of stone that cannot respond to Him, and replacing it with a heart of flesh, that will respond to divine stimuli. He opens their eyes and they see Christ. The cultural icon with a beard so often mocked is now seen as relevant and precious. The striving for personal righteousness is seen clearly as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6) and disregarded as insufficient to save. The Enemy opens their ears and they hear Him, and they have new desires to follow Him.

Understanding that mankind is in bondage to doing evil, makes them incapable to meet the requirements of entering into the presence of the Enemy. Knowing this we persuade men.

Keeping them in the grave,

-Lord Grimthorn

Hell Rods Acquired

After intense negotiation yesterday with DaNuS Special Forces in Europe, the GoF acquired two Hell Rods. We spare no expense in protecting the delivery of whiskey to our agents on the ground. However, these two particular devils have been instrumental in fueling road rage on the Audubon. Some have suggested we strap missiles to their backs.

Channel Frederator exposes Ghosts of Fire GLoG

Offslot, one of my cultural analysts, informed me that last November my GLoG had been posted on a popular animation site entitled Channel Frederator.

GLoG on Channel Frederator

Apparently, one of you had left a comment on another human web-log, which redirected them back to the GLoG. … WHAT PART OF TOP SECRET DO YOU IDIOTS NOT UNDERSTAND???? How many claws must I grind off before the message is clear? The internet access on your PDAs is only for accessing the GLoG, not promoting it-especially to humans!!

Lucky for us, the humans didn’t “get” what we are about. It seems like they were visiting the GLoG for some kind of entertainment value. These hedonists will try to make even my commands to destroy them entertainment.

The Ghosts of Fire GLoG must be kept from human eyes at all times. Its contents can radically set the humans free from their dept of sin and awaken them to the reality of the war for their souls. Luckily, since we’ve updated our URL from thismachine.blogspot.com to ghostsoffire.blogspot.com this should stop all unwanted traffic. Nevertheless, an investigation is already underway to determine which of you devils it was that broke cadence. Fess up, or prepare yourself for the irons.

Fulfilled Prophecy

It is a shame that I must waste my time reviewing what you lazy devils should already be familiar with. Luckily for you, High Command has thought it well to revisit such information, lest there be any ignorance found in the camp. Judging by the poor marks on the annual evaluation last Wednesday, I am now glad we are reviewing. You bunch of neophytes! How are we going to discredit the forbidden Book if we don’t know what gives it creditability? In my day, this ignorance would land you a date with the iron maiden!

Concluding our review of the forbidden Book is the third principle of Bible reliability: Prophecy, or predictive ability. The Bible records predictions of events that could not be known or predicted by chance or common sense. Surprisingly, the predictive nature of many Bible passages was once a popular argument (by liberals) against the reliability of the Bible. These human critics argued that the prophecies actually were written after the events and that editors had merely dressed up the Bible text to look like they contained predictions made before the events. Sadly, they couldn’t be further from the truth. The many predictions of Christ’s birth, life and death were indisputably rendered more than a century before they occurred as proven by the Dead Sea Scrolls of Isaiah and other prophetic books as well as by the Septuagint translation, all dating from earlier than 100 B.C. Thus, the predictive ability of the forbidden Book has separated itself from all other books written by man, or beast.

Without proper suppression, predictive Prophecy is a principle of Bible reliability that often reaches even the most biased of skeptics. Since Christ is the culminating theme of the Old Testament and the Living Word of the New Testament, it should not surprise us that prophecies regarding Him outnumber any others. Many of these prophecies would have been impossible for Jesus to deliberately conspire to fulfill — such as His descent from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Gen. 12:3; 17:19;); His birth in Bethlehem (Mic. 5:2); His crucifixion with criminals (Isa. 53:12); the piercing of His hands and feet at the crucifixion (Ps. 22:16); the soldiers’ gambling for His clothes (Ps. 22:18); the piercing of His side and the fact that His bones were not broken at His death (Zech. 12:10; Ps. 34:20); and His burial among the rich (Isa. 53:9). Jesus also predicted His own death and resurrection (John 2:19-22).

This following link lists some fulfilled prophesies in verse comparison.

PROPHECIES FULFILLED

Concluding this review of why we hold the Bible as trustworthy, I want to again reemphasize the importance of using the Bible as a strategic directive in our assaults. Again, for us to be effective with our craft of deception; we must know our enemy’s official field guide and instruction manual and reasons why it is reliable. Knowing why the forbidden Book is reliable gives us confidence and a clear understanding in which precepts we must manipulate in order to lead these human maggot-feeders further into destruction. The more truths we know, the better we are at suppressing them.

Your faithful mentor,

Archaeological Evidence

Let's look next at the evidence from archaeology:

There is little doubt in anyone’s mind concerning the reality of so many of the Old and New Testament cities mentioned in the Bible. Therefore, it is hardly necessary to document their existence. Nevertheless, we will go over a clawful again for those of you rogue devils who were just wandering around on the other side of the planet at the time. The following is a partial list of some of the cities mentioned in the Bible that have been found and excavated by archaeologists.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL EVIDENCE

Remember, my gentle devils, this is only a partial list. These are just a few examples that show that the Bible accurately reflects the locations and cities of ancient times.

Manuscript Evidence

"The New Testament text …is far better attested than that of any other work of ancient literature. It’s problems and difficulties arise not from the deficiency of evidence, but from an excess of it. In the case of no work of Greek or Latin literature, do we possess manuscripts so plentiful in number, or so near the date of composition,”

- Sir Frederick George Kenyon, Director and Head Librarian of the British Museum and appointed president of the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem. Quote taken from his book, The Bible and Archaeology

Again, why would the Enemy’s book of history, commands, and foretellings be of value to us? As I have mentioned in the last post, if this book is reliable it is not only of value to humans but also to us. If the Enemy is going to be so careless as to release information about Himself as well has His plans for the future; then we will be sure to read it and study its contents. My dear brothers of the great darkness below, do you know what this means? The Enemy has allowed Himself an Achilles heel! His plans to defeat us can be found gathering dust in Christian homes and sitting in hotel rooms. But the question is, is it reliable? Some of you new to the Ghosts of Fire detachment have expressed your doubts in the Bible. Who in damnation have you been listening to? Have you been watching the History Channel or reading the latest Bart Ehrman book? My weak minded minions, their public education is seeping into you. To rest your minds once and for all we will review the reasons why both Heaven and Hell hold the Bible as trustworthy.

The Evidence

As you well know, the New Testament is constantly under attack and its reliability and accuracy are often contested by some human critics. Ah, such hypocrisy! Think it my dear brothers; if the critics want to disregard the New Testament, then they must also disregard other ancient writings by Plato, Aristotle, and Homer. This is because the New Testament documents are better preserved and more numerous than any other ancient writing. Because the copies are so numerous, they can be cross checked for accuracy. Even though the original documents (known as the “autographs”) written by the Apostles have deteriorated over time, the thousands of copies that were made from them lived on and were circulating all around the Mediterranean churches for hundreds of years. Reviewing those copies now, gives us a process to determine that the biblical documents are extremely consistent and accurate.

Lord Hubris has reported that there are presently 5,686 Greek manuscripts in existence today for the New Testament. If the humans were to actually compare the number of New Testament manuscripts to other ancient writings, they would find that the New Testament manuscripts far outweigh the others in quantity.

As any devil can see, there are thousands more New Testament Greek manuscripts than any other ancient writing. The internal consistency of the New Testament documents is about 99.5% textually pure, which is an amazing accuracy. In addition there are over 19,000 copies in the Syriac, Latin, Coptic, and Aramaic languages, and the total supporting New Testament manuscript base is over 24,000.

Almost all the human biblical scholars agree that the New Testament documents were all written before the close of the first century. (Not that we need any information from humans.) But think about it, if Jesus was crucified in 30 A.D., then that means that the entire New Testament was completed within 70 years. This is important because it means there were plenty of people around when the New Testament documents were penned who could have contested the writings.

In other words, those who wrote the documents knew that if they were inaccurate, plenty of people would have pointed it out. But, we have absolutely no ancient documents contemporary with the first century that contest the New Testament texts. If the critics of the Bible dismiss the New Testament as reliable information, then they must also dismiss the reliability of the writings of Plato, Aristotle, Caesar, Homer, and the other authors mentioned in the chart. On the other hand, if the critics acknowledge the historicity and writings of those other individuals, then they must also retain the historicity and writings of the New Testament authors; after all, the evidence for the New Testament's reliability is far greater than the others.

Examining the Forbidden Word

Greetings my Ghosts of Fire!

I trust that the holiday haggis is still tickling your innards. I personally am still glowing with joy from our dear brother, Soulcrust, and his campaign of Making Spirits Bright! It was a delightful time for all of our agents, watching the human creatures race around the malls of America to find their little brats the best idols money can buy. And on Xmas day, oh, just seeing the human creatures burn with more delight in the things of this world than in the Creator caused me to burst out, “Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer!” as well as other Nazi chants. Oh, it has been a glorious event every year since the invention of that white bearded belly full of jelly!

But now it’s back to business. As you now know every year at this time we review the Enemy’s means and mode of operations for the Earth-dwellers. To do this we will review why we trust the Bible as our main source of information about the Enemy’s precepts and plans for the future.

In the next series of posts I will be discussing reasons why we can trust that the Forbidden Word is a reliable source of information about the Enemy. To do so, we will be reviewing the evidence found in manuscript, archaeology, and fulfilled prophecy that back up why the Bible is the Word of God. Because if the Bible can be trusted in understanding the precepts of God; then we will know exactly what we need in order to warp its contents, and ultimately prepare for the final battle He has promised us.

I will return soon with this pending information.

With knowledge to manipulate,

The Nature of Fire

A fire does not set out to burn leaves, but if dry leaves fall from a tree that is anywhere close to the flame the very nature of the fire will consume it. In the same way God does not desire to punish His creatures for their sins, but if they fail to receive the forgiveness offered through Christ the nature of God’s holiness will judge them by the standard of God’s very own perfection. If there was no punishment for sin, then God’s justice would be called into question. Just as you and I were judged and cast down to earth ages ago in the great rebellion, the humans will be judged for their decisions as well. God will deal with sin wherever it's found even in the nicest of humans. If they only understood the eternal degree of the Creator’s holiness the cross of Christ as payment for humanities imperfection would not seems so strange.

Some have asked, “Why can they now enter heaven freely? By what means of payment can they give to escape judgment and enter heaven?” The blood of the innocent and perfect Christ is the only payment worthy for them to enter. For them to accept Christ as their savior means to be cleansed once and for all from their wrong doing.

How then do they receive this freedom from sins? They must first realize that they are imperfect and have sinned against their Creator. Humans must ask Jesus to save them and trust in Him to take them to heaven when they die, just like someone would trust in a parachute before jumping out of a plane.

Again, our job is to try to deceive those unforgiven humans to reject Christ and God’s holy nature will judge them like dry leaves to the fire.

Keep them from the cure,

-Lord Grimthorn

A Meaningful World

Over the years, you've heard me warn our forces of the many publications on the subject of intelligent design. But I believe it is safe to say that I have never before discussed one that has two chapters answering the age-old question: If a million monkeys typed for a million years, would they write a Shakespeare play?

The reasoning behind these chapters is that Benjamin Wiker and Jonathan Witt's new book, A Meaningful World, is about so much more than the narrow concept that many people have of "intelligent design." Their book's subtitle helps explain their idea: How the Arts and Sciences Reveal the Genius of Nature. It's an original and utterly fascinating approach to the subject.

Wiker and Witt are arguing against what they call the "poison" of our time: reductionist materialism and the nihilism that stems from it. To put it more simply, they are fighting against the idea that the universe is without meaning. We've all known this idea would take off, but we didn't realize just how much it has permeated their lives and culture.

Which brings me back to Shakespeare. Most of us have heard some of the vermin say that "if a million monkeys banged away on typewriters for a million years, eventually they would generate the entire works of Shakespeare." I have tended to laugh this off as most of us do, not aware that there are humans who embrace reductionist materialism are really serious.

As Wiker and Witt explain it, "Reductionist materialism seeks to give an entirely material explanation of human intelligence, one that reduces it to a string of pointless material causes. It must kill the soul, and in the process, reduce all the evident genius of humanity to dust."

And that, the authors point out, is exactly why materialists came up with the "million monkeys" idea. Scientific reductionism—the view that humans all came into being by random chance—is closely linked to literary reductionism—the desire to "force the beauties of [literature] into [a] box."

Thus, scientists came up with the "million monkeys" theory to show that Shakespeare's genius was nothing special, that his works could have come about purely by chance. And, the theory goes, "If monkeys could knock out a Shakespearean tragedy given enough time, then what about creating Shakespeare himself? Couldn't he be almost as easily explained on Darwinian grounds?"

Obviously, scientists couldn't test their theory for a million years, but they thought they could get some idea about the truth of the theory by testing it for a month. The monkeys pressed some random letters on the keyboard, bashed the computer with stones, and often used it as a toilet. "Suffice it to say," the authors remark dryly, "their literary efforts fall a good deal short of the Bard." It's difficult to see how extending this farce for a million years would have made any difference at all. In fact, our sources say that a scientist at MIT used a computer simulation to prove that it could not have happened.

I’m afraid this is only the beginning of Witt and Wiker's exploration of this theme. Their argument that not only do the arts and culture point to a universe full of meaning, but so do mathematics and the sciences. The sooner your subject develops a bias against such research the better. Open minds have no place in science. It’s very dangerous for them to start to question Darwinian evolution. The more your human subjects let down their bias against Intelligent Design, the more open they will be to consider the evidence for a Designer.

Closing their minds off to Him,
